Morocco: Visit the Anou

Me and my old friend and textile artist Aziz travelled to the Happy Valley in Ait Bougmez. There, I met up with Ibrahim, who founded the Anou Foundation. With the help of Aziz as translater, I interviewed Ibrahim about his foundation, how they work with local and rural communities, how craftspeople learn to photograph and sell their own work online through Anou's platform and how the price of a carpet is calculated. He works there on a new place where wool yarn from theAtlas Mountains will be spun, on a new and very inventive machine. Besides the factory, there is an artist in residency place for artists who would like to do local projects. The place is beautiful! Can't wait till it opens and I can stay there myself for longer time and learn more from Ibrahim.
