Martin and his land
Farmer Martin took over his father's house and land when he passed away. According to Martin, his father never was a 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 farmer. When his children asked him if it was time to harvest, he would say: 'Let's see what Winston Churchill has to say about that!' and opened the newspaper. Ever since Martin inherited the land, he has lives in dualism ever since: should he farm the land or outsource it and pursue other interests? The land preserves the memories of his childhood, and so Martin remains growing some barley alongside working a fulltime job, meanwhile he silently dreams of giving up both to build his dream house in Sicily.
