The Trainride

This is a woven translation of a drawing (see below) based on a train ride to Denmark, during which I slowly transitioned to a new location and met various landscapes along the way.The challenge of this piece was to translate the quickly drawn and intuitive sketch into a weaving; which requires much more time, organization and structure. 

The piece is made with organic linen and wool, partly dyed with vegetables.
