Untitled
This hand-woven tapestry is made on commission, and harmonizes with the surrounding of the house, which is located on the edge of a forest.
One piece of rope, very dynamically woven in, served as a sketch for the work; which came to existence slowly by taking a steps back to oversee the result, and by unraveling threads to weave them back differently.
The work is 200 cm x 170cm and finished with two metal bars. The rug consists of rope, black wool, cotton thread, (sometimes unraveled) maracre yarn dyed with tea, terracotta-colored wool dyed with madder, jute and dried grass. In 2022 it was photographed for the interior magazine VTWonen.
